Do you offer dental financing?
Yes. We offer no interest plans up to 24-months or very low payment options for up to 60-months through two different providers. We also offer some in-office financing options. Most of the time we are able to find a plan that will accommodate our patients budget.
Does teeth whitening make my teeth weaker?
No. Teeth whitening does not harm the integrity of the enamel of your teeth. It can however (temporarily) demineralize the enamel, which can make the tooth more sensative to temperature. Another positive of teeth whitening bleach is that it has actually been shown to kill bacteria that cause gingivitis which is always a concern.
Can I bleach my teeth while pregnant or breast feeding?
No. It is not safe for your baby to use bleaching products while pregnant or breast feeding.
Do you provide Invisalign for teenagers?
Yes. Invisalign actually has a special product for teenagers with some built-in features that help keep a teenager on track. Dr. Booth has extensive experience with young adults.
My 17 year old son has naturally yellowish teeth that he’s embarrassed about. Can teenagers get veneers, Lumineers or bleaching?
Yes. We have dental solutions for any dental goals. Cosmetic dentistry is a great option for teens. Dr. Booth can discuss the pro's and con's with you to help you decide what the best treatment would be for your individual case.
How often should you brush your teeth?
In order to prevent gingivitis and cavities, you should brush at least twice a day with a low abrasive toothpaste and floss at least once a day.
For optimum oral health it would be ideal to brush and floss after every meal. As that is not practical for most people, it has been shown to be effective for most people to brush really well twice a day and to floss once a day to maintain gum and teeth health. Dr. Booth
will discuss additional brushing if he thinks it is needed."
I have heavily stained teeth that are slightly crooked. What’s the most painless, simple way to improve my smile?
Lumineers are a great alternative to traditional veneers. They are as thin as a contact lens. While traditional veneers require a dentist to grind down existing tooth structures, Lumineers are so thin that they don’t require any type of grinding. It’s a pain-free experience, with no shots, no drilling, and just two brief appointments (30 to 45 minutes each).
What insurance companies do you work with?
We work with most major dental insurance companies and you can receive benefits at our office as long as you have a plan that allows you to choose any dentist you want. We will be an out of network provider for all insurance plans, which can mean that the coverage amounts are less and your out-of-pocket cost may be slightly higher. In those cases we recommend you consider the quality of the dental materials and detailed dental work you get at Silver Screen Dental as the added value to get you to choose us as your dental office. Feel free to contact us for specific information about your provider.
What causes staining on teeth?
Lots of common foods and drinks cause tooth staining, including coffee, tea, red wine, carbonated soft drinks, sports drinks, and intensely colored sauces, fruits, and vegetables. However, rather than eliminating all of these things from your diet, you can have your teeth cleaned and whitened periodically at our office.
What does DDS stand for?
DDS stands for Doctor of Dental Surgery.
What’s the best way to fix my crooked teeth?
Thanks to Invisalign clear braces, uncomfortable metal braces are a thing of the past. Dr. Booth is a premier provider of Invisalign, which uses clear plastic aligners to shift your teeth in the most comfortable way possible.
For patients that are looking for a faster solution, there’s also composite bonding or porcelain veneers. Both of these solutions are extremely effective, fast, and a great option for patients that don’t have overbites or underbites that also need to be corrected.
Do you offer tooth-colored fillings?
Yes. Black/unattractive fillings are a thing of the past. Today we use resin tooth colored fillings for a natural and transparent look so you no longer have unsightly black spots in your mouth.
What are my options for missing teeth?
Depending on your situations, patients today have many options for missing teeth including dental bridges, dentures, and dental implants. All three solutions have their pros and cons, but all three solutions produce teeth that look and function as if they were your real teeth.
